Project background

The NSW Government is funding this proposal at the intersection of Hoxton Park Road and Hill Road as part of its $300 million Urban Roads Pinch Point Program, which aims to reduce congestion and improve travel times on Sydney’s busiest corridors.

Project features

The proposed left turn lane would:

  • Help prevent motorists turning left into Hill Road from slowing down westbound traffic
  • Reduce congestion by allowing westbound traffic to move through the intersection faster
  • Improve safety by reducing the number of rear-end crashes and crashes from motorists changing lanes.

Community engagement

Roads and Maritime sought feedback on the proposal in July 2016. All comments received are being considered as part of the design process.

What happens next?

We will consider all feedback before deciding whether to proceed with this proposal. A community consultation report outlining the comments received and our responses will be made available in the months following the close of consultation.

We will keep you updated as the proposal progresses.
