Roads and Maritime Services is seeking feedback by Monday 18 December on a proposal to make improvements at the intersection of Hoxton Park Road and Whitford Road, Hinchinbrook.

All feedback will be considered and will be responded to in a community consultation report that will be made available on our website following the close of consultation. It may take us a few months to consider all feedback received, we appreciate your patience during this time.

Project background

The NSW Government is funding this work as part of its $300 million Urban Roads Pinch Point Program, which aims to reduce congestion and improve travel times on Sydney’s busiest corridors.

Project features

The proposed improvements include:

  • Dual westbound right turn lanes from Hoxton Park Road
  • Dual northbound lanes on Whitford Road
  • Extend the northbound ‘No Stopping’ zone on Whitford Road to Topnot Avenue and Draco Road intersection
  • Relocation of traffic control signals and utilities to suit the new configuration.

Next steps

We will carefully consider all feedback received before deciding to proceed with this proposal. A community consultation report will be prepared, summarising the matters raised and our responses. This will be made available on our website. We will keep you updated as the proposal progresses.
