Intersection improvements on Hoxton Park Road and the Hume Highway, Liverpool

The NSW Government is funding this proposal as part of its $300 million Urban Roads Pinch Point Program, which aims to reduce congestion and improve travel times on Sydney’s business corridors.

Updates and announcements

is starting in early 2019 at the intersection of Hoxton Park Road and Hume Highway in Liverpool.

The work includes:

  • Providing an additional southbound right turn lane from the Hume Highway onto Hoxton Park Road
  • Widening to the west on Hume Highway to accommodate the additional southbound right turn lane
  • Relocating the median, pedestrian crossing and stop line on Hoxton Park Road to accommodate dual right turns from the Hume Highway
  • Relocating traffic lights and utilities to suit the new configuration.

Our work schedule

We will be on site for 65 night shifts and 80 day shifts between Monday 14 January and Monday 15 April 2019, weather permitting.. Our night work hours will be between8pm and 5am from Sunday to Friday. Our day work hours will be between 7am and 6pm from Monday to Friday and between 7am and 1pm on Saturday. We will not be working on public holidays.

How will the work affect you?

Our work may be noisy at times but we will do everything we can to minimise its impact, including completing the noisier activities by 11pm.

Traffic changes

There will be temporary traffic changes during our work hours to ensure the work zone is safe.
