Keeping the community informed
The local community will be provided with information during construction of the southern section (stage 2) of the bypass. Community involvement will include the ongoing advertising of construction activities, the continuation of the community liaison group (CLG), as well as the project website.
A CLG was formed in 2004 to assist with detailed design and to exchange information on the project for the first stage of the Moree town centre bypass. The same group will be continuing to work with Roads and Maritime Services throughout the second stage.
The first meeting of the community liaison group for the second stage of the bypass was held on Tuesday 19 November 2013. The meeting notes from each meeting will be posted on this website (following group agreement they are correct).
Council and community members have contributed to elements of the urban and landscape design of the project such as selection of plant and tree species.
