RFS's Traffic Services division (Traffic Information) controls and maintains more than 600 road-side traffic data collecting devices. As a consequence we developed a robust and reliable system to monitor device status (working or not), track the device's work history and track the system's work history. The system also has a maintenance management function which alerts a technician to a device fault (via email), notifies the technical supervisor, and tracks the progress of fault correction.
This piece of software ensures reliable collection and management of traffic data and minimises device malfunction. The system ensures prompt maintenance of your devices and a systematic approach to fixes and maintenance.
The system allows remote data interrogation and remotely monitor device status and performance via the internet. This means less-frequent visits by technical personnel to inspect the devices. It ensures data reliability and ease of system interrogation. It maximises the availability of data from your traffic data recording devices.
The TDMMS makes it easy to record traffic data – to identify traffic problems and plan infrastructure accordingly. In addition, it ensures the devices are working, being maintained and functioning in line with the manufacturer's specifications.
