Gore Hill and Warringah freeways
The Gore Hill and Warringah freeways provide a seven kilometre direct link between the M2 and Lane Cove Tunnel corridor and Sydney's harbour crossings. This allows for uninterrupted travel between the city and the lower and upper North Shore. In combination with the M7 these freeways link western Sydney commuters to northern parts of the CBD.
The Gore Hill Freeway is a four kilometre divided road running between Naremburn and Lane Cove. The primary function of the freeway is to provide an alternative high-grade route from St Leonards to Lane Cove and to reduce traffic demands on the Pacific Highway. The Gore Hill Freeway connects to the Lane Cove Tunnel in Artarmon.
The Warringah Freeway is a three kilometre freeway running between Sydney's harbour crossings and Naremburn. The Freeway provides direct access to the Cahill Expressway, Western Distributor, Pacific Highway and Gore Hill Freeway. The Warringah Freeway connects the Gore Hill Freeway to Sydney's harbour crossings.
