What's happening now ?

Roads and Maritime Services has prepared an environmental impact statement and concept design for a new bridge over the Clarence River at Grafton. The environmental impact statement is now on exhibition.

Community comments are sought by 19 September 2014 and should be sent to the Department of Planning and Environment.

A copy of the August 2014 community update is now available. The update provides an update on the project and details on the public exhibition including staffed displays.

The proposal

The proposal is being assessed by the Department of Planning and Infrastructure as a State Significant Infrastructure (SSI) project under Part 5.1 of the Environmental Planning & Assessment Act 1979 (EP&A Act).

The Proposal is outlined in the environmental impact statement (August 2014). A copy of the environmental impact statement and SSI application is available on the Department of Planning and Environment’s website at www.majorprojects.planning.nsw.gov.au.
