People – empowered workforce and partnerships

Enables a safe, healthy and capable workforce, open information sharing, and collaboration to achieve shared solutions.

Consultation, cooperation and coordination

We share a common objective with industry partners to deliver safe and efficient journeys across NSW. Consultation, cooperation and coordination (CCC) ensures that we consult with our workers and industry partners on WHS matters, and work together to effectively reduce WHS risks.  We do this by sharing knowledge, information, experience and lessons learnt with all those whose health and safety we affect through our operations.

See Consultation, cooperation and coordination framework.

WHS capability and training

WHS capability comprises the knowledge, skills, attributes and behaviours that enable our workforce to undertake their work safely, and to ensure their activities do not increase health and safety risk to others. Our capability framework ensures that WHS related training aligns to adult learning principles and delivers a shared understanding of expected skills and behaviours for all organisational levels.

WHS training and capability building seeks to empower workers to actively participate in achievement of our WHS objectives.

See WHS capability and training framework.
