Fitting your electronic tag
If your electronic tag isn't fitted correctly, it may not be recognised at toll points, and you may have to pay administration or video matching fees in addition to the toll charge.
To check that your tag is fitted correctly:
- Make sure the tag is attached to the inside of the windscreen, behind the rear vision mirror
- Check that your tag is as close to the centre as possible, and at least 7cm from the top of the windscreen
- Make sure the tag is not attached to a part of the windscreen with metallicised rain, headlight or other sensors - refer to your vehicle's owners manual
- Check with your tag provider on the best place to attach your tag:
Attach your tag to the inside of the windscreen. It should be about 10cm above the lower edge of the windscreen, and as close to the centre of the windscreen as possible.
Check with your tag provider for the best way to attach your tag.
