New school zone to improve safety at Oran Public School
Pedestrian safety will soon be improved with a new school zone on South Circuit at Oran Park to improve student safety at Oran Park Public School.
“Roads and Maritime Services will install a new school zone for 260 metres on South Circuit to cover a new access point to the school,” Mr Patterson said.
“The 40km/h school zone will operate from 8am to 9.30am and 2.30pm to 4pm on gazetted school days, from the start of term one this year.
“The new school zone signs are expected to be installed from Friday 24 January, weather permitting.
“Motorists are reminded to slow down to 40km/h during school zone hours to ensure the safety of all road users, especially students,” Mr Patterson said. Community members can sign up at the Safer Roads NSW website at www.saferroadsnsw.com.au to receive updates about changes to permanent speed limits in their nominated area.
