Work powers on to improve busy North Richmond intersection
18 April 2018
Work to improve the intersection of Bells Line of Road, Grose Vale and Terrace roads at North Richmond is progressing well with the third stage of work almost under way.
Member for Hawkesbury Dominic Perrottet said the NSW and Commonwealth governments are funding this project to improve traffic conditions on approach to Richmond Bridge.
“This essential improvement work will ease congestion and improve traffic flow for motorists who use this busy intersection,” Mr Perrottet said.
Crews started work at this intersection in June last year to survey the site and identify utilities in preparation for major work to be carried out.
Mr Perrottet said crews will be back on site from the end of April.
“Work will also be carried out to provide two westbound lanes from Pitt Lane to around 90 metres west of Grose Vale Road as well as to install or improve dedicated turning lanes on all sides of the intersection to improve traffic flow for motorists,” Mr Perrottet said.
Work is scheduled to be carried out between Friday 27 April and Tuesday 31 July, excluding public holidays and weather permitting.
Temporary traffic changes will be in place for the safety of workers and motorists including lane closures.
