Improving safety on Calga Place at Bronte
6 September 2018
Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions from this week to reduce the speed limit on Calga Place, between Bronte Road and Macpherson Street at Bronte.
A new speed limit of 40 km/h will be enforced from Friday 7 September to improve safety for all road users, including pedestrians walking to and from nearby Bronte Beach.
Calga Place currently has a speed limit of 50 km/h, and is one way from Bronte Road to Macpherson Street.
New speed zone sign installation and road marking will be carried out between 8am and 5pm on 7 September, weather permitting.
Traffic control and a reduced speed limit will be in place for the safety of workers and motorists.
Please look out for the new 40km/h speed limit on Calga Place and drive at the lower speed to increase motorist and pedestrian safety.
Motorists are reminded the new speed limit is legally enforceable.
