Arriving soon: Bathurst Bullet 2.0
9 August 2019
The second Bathurst Bullet will start operating from Monday 16 September, doubling the options for rail travel between Sydney and Bathurst.
Minister for Regional Transport and Roads and Member for Bathurst Paul Toole said the new service had been fast-tracked to start in spring and would provide not only an extra service, but extra stops at Rydal and Tarana.
“People love the Bullet so we’re stepping it up a gear to give customers more choice,” Mr Toole said.
“With twice the options available, I’m confident we will see more and more customers enjoy this service into the future.”
Mr Toole said the new service would depart Bathurst at 7.35am and return at 3.05pm.
“We know travellers appreciate flexibility and choice when it comes to train travel. The new service provides locals with the option of a later start in the morning and an earlier return for those who need to be back for family and social commitments,” Mr Toole said.
“I’m excited that the extra Bullet will also provide better links to regional communities, with Rydal and Tarana to benefit from the new service for the first time.”
The new service will operate to slightly revised times on Wednesdays due to the pre-existing Indian Pacific timetable.
On weekends, the new morning service will depart Bathurst at 6.07am. The return service will arrive in Bathurst at 6.52pm, almost three hours before the existing service. Customers will be able to plan their trips at Transport NSW Info by early September.
