Swan Hill Bridge open to traffic but closed to boats

24 October 2012

Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) is advising motorists Swan Hill Bridge is now open to traffic after a mechanical fault with the liftspan yesterday.

Work to repair the fault is expected to take about four weeks to complete.

During this time the bridge will be unable to be lifted for boating traffic.

Motorists are advised short delays of up to 20 minutes may be experienced during work.

Traffic controllers are in place and motorists are encouraged to drive with caution and obey all temporary traffic controls and signs.

RMS thanks the community for their patience while the important work is carried out.
