Requests for proposals invited for management of Campbells Cove jetty
9 November 2012
Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) Maritime Director Tony Middleton today announced requests for proposals (RFP) for the management of the historic Campbells Cove jetty in Sydney Harbour are being sought.
“Campbells Cove jetty is on the western side of Sydney Cove, directly north of the Overseas Passenger Terminal and across from the Sydney Opera House,” Mr Middleton said.
“The concrete decked timber jetty is 57 metres long, 6.4 metres wide, 3.6 metres above the low water mark and has a load limit of 5 kilopascals.
“The northern berth is to be prioritised for tall ship use, while the southern berth may be used by tall ships or other commercial or private vessels including super yachts.
“Management of the two berths is for a minimum of two years with a possible option to extend for a further two years.
“Preferred proponents will be notified by Monday 14 January 2013 after an evaluation process has been carried out.
“The successful proponent is expected to start the licence agreement in early February 2013,” Mr Middleton said.
Interested parties should register for the RFP and submit proposals online in pdf format at tenders.nsw.gov.au by 2pm on 7 December.
