Tenders closing for Rozelle Bay maritime precinct services upgrade
2 August 2013
Tenders for work to upgrade essential services including power, water and waste water at the Rozelle Bay maritime precinct will close on Thursday 15 August.
Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) Acting Maritime Director Michael Wright said RMS has called for tenders from a selected panel to upgrade essential services which support the precinct’s existing businesses and sustain future and planned development in the area.
“The busy maritime precinct is expanding with development plans in place for Sydney Boathouse and Sydney Super Yacht Marina. This enabling work will ensure services are adequate in the area for the next 20 years,” Mr Wright said.
“Work includes building a trench for installation of new water and sewage pipes and power conduits along the southern edge of James Craig Road.
“Pumps also will be replaced at the existing sewage pumping station.
“The project may have traffic impacts when work is carried out to replace underground utilities, with two-way traffic to be maintained at all times.
“Further community information will be available when work timing is finalised. RMS expects work to start in October this year and completed early in 2014, weather permitting,” Mr Wright said.
Tenders close at 9.30am on Thursday, 15 August. The tender documents can be found at https://tenders.nsw.gov.au
