Maintenance of Glebe Island Bridge over Rozelle Bay on Tuesday 23 September

The NSW Government is funding the regular testing of the operation of the bridge.

Roads and Maritime Services will deliver this project, which includes rotating the bridge deck. This work will be carried out between 10.30am and 12.30pm on Tuesday 23 September, weather permitting.

A contingency date has been planned for Wednesday 24 September.

Changed boating conditions

During the maintenance work, there will be restrictions in place through the channel for water users. There will be height restrictions in place between 10.30am and 12.30pm. The maximum height for vessels during the maintenance work and closure of the bridge is 4.7 metres.

The area will be marked by buoys and monitored by safety control vessels.

We would like to remind people to wear a lifejacket when boating, especially in craft under 4.8 metres when alone, at night or offshore.

We apologise for any inconvenience this work may cause and appreciate the patience of businesses and water users.
