Speed limit change on Great Western Highway at Medlow Bath
Motorists are advised to slow down as a speed limit reduction is implemented from Thursday 20 November on the Great Western Highway at Medlow Bath.
"Roads and Maritime Services reviewed the 70 km/h speed limit on the on Great Western Highway at Medlow Bath in response to residents’ feedback,” a Roads and Maritime spokesperson said.
“Roads and Maritime will reduce the speed limit on Great Western Highway from 70 km/h to 60 km/h between 50 metres north and 40 meters south of Bellevue Crescent to improve road safety.” “New speed limit signs are expected to be installed from Thursday 20 November, weather permitting.”
An electronic message sign is in place to ensure motorists are aware of the change.
Motorists are reminded to drive to the speed limit at all times. Community members can sign up to receive updates about changes to permanent speed limits in their nominated area at www.saferroadsnsw.com.au.
