Have a say on Pacific Highway upgrade at Lisarow
23 February 2015
Roads and Maritime Services invites the community to comment by Monday 9 March on the draft review of environmental factors (REF) and concept design for the upgrade of the Pacific Highway between Ourimbah Street and Parsons Road at Lisarow.
A Roads and Maritime spokesperson said the NSW Government provided $1.5 million this year to continue planning the upgrade which aims to improve safety and travel times for motorists.
“The proposed upgrade involves widening the Pacific Highway to provide two lanes in each direction between Ourimbah Street and Parsons Road and upgrading key intersections,” the spokesperson said.
“The preferred option for the section of highway between Ourimbah Street and Parsons Road at Lisarow was displayed for community comment in November and December 2013.
“Roads and Maritime published a community and stakeholder consultation report in October 2014 responding to feedback relating to intersection designs, road user safety, cyclist and pedestrian facilities and reducing through traffic, access and property impacts.”
“Further investigations were carried out in response to this feedback and a concept design and draft REF for the section of road between Ourimbah Street and Parsons Road at Lisarow has been prepared and is now available on the Roads and Maritime website.
“Community members can view the draft REF online at www.rms.nsw.gov.au and can submit feedback by calling the Roads and Maritime project manager on (02) 4379 7001, emailing Central.Coast.Office@rms.nsw.gov.au or mailing PO Box 76, Woy Woy, 2256.
“Feedback on the proposed upgrade is invited by Monday 9 March and will be used to finalise the concept design and the review of environmental factors for the project.”
