Jane Street and Mulgoa Road Upgrade submissions report now available

A Roads and Maritime Services spokesperson today announced the submissions report for the Jane Street and Mulgoa Road upgrade at Penrith has been finalised and is now available for the community to view.
The spokesperson said the Australian and NSW governments were jointly funding the upgrade to reduce congestion and improve journey times for motorists.
“A total of 22 submissions were received during thethe consultation process and all were considered and responded to in the report,” the spokespersons said.
“The upgrade would include an additional north and southbound lane on Mulgoa and Castlereagh Road between Union Road and south of Museum Drive.
“The upgrade will also involve significant improvements to the intersections at Jane Street and Castlereagh Road and High Street and Mulgoa Road.
“Roads and Maritime Services would like to thank everyone who took the time to consider the proposal and provide their thoughts on the project.
“Work will now start to finalise the design for the upgrade with work expected to start in 2018.”
