The NSW Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) network map is the legally enforceable network for vehicles operating under the National Class 1 SPV Notice. Day time and night time travel is permitted on the approved network in Part 4 of the NSW Schedule of the Notice subject to the travel and road conditions in Part 5. Some conditions in Part 5 refer to the NSW SPV network map to view the application of conditions on some roads and/or areas. Exemptions from some travel conditions are available under the Urban Accession Concession (UAC) and Urban Peak Hour Concession (UPC) schemes. The NSW SPV network map is also the legally enforceable network if listed as the approved network on your access permit. Please refer to your access permit for conditions of travel.

The NSW Special Purpose Vehicle Network map, if listed as the approved route on an access permit, also provides the approved routes for Roads and Maritime Services managed roads (i.e. State Roads) for special purpose vehicles. Please refer to the Notice or access permit, whichever is applicable, for conditions and requirements of travel. Roads that are not approved on the map require an access permit from the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator or the relevant road manager.
