Maritime Infrastructure Delivery Office (MIDO)

The Maritime Infrastructure Delivery Office (MIDO) is a joint initiative between Transport for NSW, Maritime and the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment (DPIE) to improve the coordination and delivery of coastal and boating infrastructure programs and projects across NSW that support recreational boating, fishing, tourism and a range of other commercial activities.

Updates and announcements

From 10 July 2020 the Maritime Infrastructure Delivery Office has been expanded within Transport for NSW. This team now coordinates the delivery of state-level maritime infrastructure in NSW.

The expanded office combines staff and functions from the maritime division of Transport for NSW and the former maritime-related functions of Crown Lands.

The combined team means planning, coordination and delivery of maritime infrastructure and dredging services is now streamlined – making services easier for our customers to access.

About MIDO

The MIDO is responsible for:

Wollongong Harbour Masterplan

The Wollongong Harbour Masterplan Report is now available to view. This plan guides the vision and future investment for the historical Wollongong Harbour, to maintain its important function as a working harbour and as a tourism and recreation hub for the city.

The Harbour is shared by many different users, and improving access, facilities and amenities will help strengthen the links between land and water, and promote safer use of the waterway by all.

The Wollongong Harbour Master Plan reflects the value of the harbour to the local community and other key stakeholders as identified during consultation that started in 2017.
