Boating plans
Boating plans are a guide to access and shared use for particular waterways. Each plan is designed to respond to changing conditions and boating patterns.
Boating plans are designed to benefit both recreational and commercial users by:
- maximising user safety, enjoyment, public safety and amenity of boating practises
- considering the needs of shore-based waterway users, as well as boating-based activities
- reviewing shore-based boating-related facilities or infrastructure, such as launching ramps
- helping agencies responsible for environmental protection and sustainability to implement programs and initiatives
- providing a framework for consultation.
The below plans will shortly be replaced by Regional Boating Plans which are currently under development. Should you wish to enquire about, or obtain a copy of these plans, please email mps@rms.nsw.gov.au.
