Transport for NSW and Major Road Projects Victoria are building a second Murray River crossing to connect Echuca and Moama. The $323.7 million project is being funded by the Australian, Victorian and NSW governments.
FEB 2021Minor traffic impacts as bridge beams delivered
A series of mammoth bridge support beams are being delivered through the Moama intersections upgrade worksite, as part of the Echuca-Moama Bridge project.More information
The 36 beams, each measuring 35 metres in length and weighing about 85 tonnes, will be delivered over four weeks from Wednesday 17 February. A maximum of three deliveries will be carried out each day, with some deliveries scheduled for Sundays and after hours (between 6 and 9pm) to limit impacts on the community.
These support beams – also called girders or “super-tees” – will form the main bridge structure of the new crossing over the Murray River between Echuca and Moama.
Motorists are advised to allow up to five minutes extra travel time to their journey while the beams are being delivered.

We will let you know when work is planned outside regular working hours.
