Transport for NSW is planning for improvements to the road network in the Haberfield, Ashfield and Leichhardt areas to make travel to and around the area easier and safer for motorists, cyclists and pedestrians. These proposed changes will help to relieve congestion around some key intersections and improve traffic flow and pedestrian connections between suburbs.
What we are proposing for your local area
We are proposing to make improvements to key intersections in Haberfield, Ashfield and Leichhardt located at:
- City West Link, Norton Street and James Street
- Dobroyd Parade and Waratah Street
- City West Link, Mortley Avenue and Timbrell Drive
- Parramatta Road and Dalhousie Street
Keeping our city moving
Transport for NSW is continuing to deliver critical road improvements and infrastructure upgrades to meet the future needs of our growing city.
The NSW Government remains committed to delivering these essential infrastructure projects which will help boost the NSW economy in the months ahead.
The NSW Government already has a number of major transport and urban development projects underway in the inner west, including WestConnex M4-M5 Link tunnels and the planned renewal of Parramatta Road, which will directly benefit local communities.
