Project information
Lismore to Bangalow Road is a two-lane undivided rural road, about 33 kilometres in length in the NSW Northern Rivers region. The corridor connects the Bruxner Highway at Lismore to the Pacific Highway at Bangalow and serves as a general access route between Lismore and Bangalow with further connections to Byron Bay. It is a popular tourist route as well as being a busy route for larger vehicles travelling west to Lismore.
Transport for NSW and Roads and Maritime prepared a draft corridor strategy for Lismore Bangalow Road in 2015. The strategy sets out the NSW Government’s 20 year plan to manage and guide the development of the road corridor to improve safety, traffic efficiency and sustainability
