
Roads and Maritime Services has upgraded the Oxley Highway near Rosewood Road, about six kilometres west of Wauchope.

The project opened to traffic on 12 April 2019.
Project information
The need to improve this section of road was identified in the draft Oxley Highway Corridor Strategy (PDF, 14.5Mb). With a history of crashes at this location, it was identified as one of the three highest risks areas along the Oxley Highway.
The project involved several safety improvements, including:
- improving the road geometry by removing several tight curves
- widening the road shoulders
- improving drainage.
