Wentworth Point Maritime Facilities
A Plan for Growing Sydney identifies Wentworth Point as a priority precinct where the NSW government will deliver 2,300 homes, local jobs and social infrastructure.
The maritime facilities proposed at Wentworth Point will provide residents and visitors with a marina vista and recreational boating opportunities on Parramatta River.
Features of the proposed Maritime facilities
- a 63 wet berth marina, which will cater for boats up to 15 metres long
- a dry storage stacking facility for 228 boats which will cater for boats up to 10 metres long
- retail and cafes and a carpark to cater for the maritime facilities
- a three level rowing club for training teams with a 24 hour kayak access ramp for the local community, gym, restaurant, and function room.
In July 2017 Roads and Maritime submitted a Development Application for the proposed maritime facilities at Wentworth Point to Parramatta City Council. The Development Application is available on the Parramatta City Council Website and comments are being invited from the public.
Roads and Maritime will continue to keep the community and stakeholders aware of project progress.
All feedback received during the Development Application exhibition period will be considered and incorporated into design elements as appropriate.
