JUL 2019Paving work

Roads and Maritime Services is paving Bringelly Road from the intersection of The Northern Road with Bringelly Road to the new Bringelly interchange. Work will include moving concrete barriers, removing the existing road surface, asphalting and line-marking. During this work, we will need to close Bringelly Road and put a detour in place for 72 hours. This is the fastest way to complete the work and minimise impact on road users. To minimise the impact on road users, we will do all of this work over 72 hours between 8pm Friday 12 July to 8pm Monday 15 July 2019, weather permitting.

Project information

These combined upgrades will deliver new and improved roads to support integrated transport in the region and capitalise on the economic benefits from the Western Sydney Airport at Badgerys Creek. These will improve safety, increase road capacity and reduce congestion and travel times in the future.

The Northern Road upgrade covers about 11.3 kilometres between Peter Brock Drive, Oran Park and Mersey Road, Bringelly, including The Northern Road and Bringelly Road intersection which will be built as an interchange.

The second stage of the Bringelly Road upgrade covers about 4.3 kilometres between King Street, Rossmore and The Northern Road, Bringelly.
